Greetings! Technology has taken over! Many students come home from school and the first thing they want to do is turn on their electronics! From iPads to iPods, iPhones, Xbox, PlayStation, you name it; my son included! So we started a rule (I try to call it a new tradition). Rules are so formal and kids tend to not want to conform to them. Our new tradition, after homework, is one hour of electronics followed by one hour of reading, crafting and/or just relaxing! Yes, I think it’s important to schedule some time after a long day of school and work to relax; turn off electronics and rest your brain! For tonights craft, we made slime! My son has been asking me to do this for a while. Enjoy sometime with your kiddos, relax, turn off electronics, put on some soothing music and reflect on your day! Have a slimy time!
– Craft Glue
– Food Coloring
– Two Glass Containers
Mix one tablespoon of borax powder and 1/2 cup of water in glass bowl. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup of craft glue, and 1/2 cup of water. Add few drop of food coloring to glue/water mixture. Then add borax powder mixture to glue mixture. Wait 30 seconds and watch the slime form!
Hope you can enjoy some family craft time!
